I'm Courtnay, the owner and curator behind Sinister, a destination for distinctive antiques, vintage treasures, and one-of-a-kind statement pieces. From July, you'll find us in our new Belfast shop, as well as online for customers further afield.

Much of what you see at Sinister begins with a journey. I regularly travel through France and Belgium in my van, searching markets, brocantes, and hidden corners for exceptional finds with character, history, and charm. I have a particular passion for antique apothecary furniture, shop counters, cabinets, and unique display pieces that bring both beauty and practicality to a space. I’m also drawn to the more theatrical side of vintage interiors — rich velvets, ornate tassels, faded grandeur, and unusual decorative objects that tell a story. Every piece is carefully chosen for its individuality and timeless appeal.
